The Story

Originally invented in the 19th century, the smoking jacket was intended to protect the wearers clothes from the smell of smoke.

The ceremonial and aristocrat nature of the garment made it a symbol, and then a cliché of a certain kind of performed and superficial masculinity that would linger through the 20th century.

Throughout the 90's Yves put his own twist on the blazer and was showed in every collection until he stepped down in 2002. Hedi then later reinvented the silhouette during his tenure.

Shoulders: 15.5in
Sleeves: 24.5
Pit: 18.5in
Length: 27.5in
