The Story
Number (N)ine's Spring Summer 2004 line honored the 1970s global punk movement, with Takahiro nodding to British Punk by opening the runway show with The Clash's iconic anthem, "London Calling." The collection showcased attire reminiscent of London and New York punks, including leather motorcycle jackets, relaxed suits with a disheveled aesthetic, and the trademark wallet chains worn by the movement's pioneers. Drawing inspiration from Suicide's "Dream Baby Dream," Takahiro paid tribute to frontman Alan Vega through the incorporation of leather accessories and deliberately tousled looks on the catwalk.
